The SAC's Gallery 2021 Student Photography Competition and Exhibition

This exhibition is made possible in part by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

This year our goal is to broaden this photography/cultural event, in part by organizing and sponsoring a separate high school student exhibit at SAC’s Gallery to run concurrently with the exhibit at Stonehenge Gallery.
 
We hope to give students the chance to participate in the process of preparing work for exhibition, exhibit in gallery space, view work by their contemporaries, meet other photographers, and win cash awards. Together we can build on the idea that photography is a fine art.
 
The opening reception for the student exhibit will be Saturday afternoon, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. The awards for this exhibit will be distributed at 2:00 p.m.

The exhibit will run from July 10-July 29.
 
SAC’s Gallery is located at 529 South Perry Street, Suite #14, in Montgomery, Alabama.

Normal gallery hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 12 noon to 5 p.m., or by appointment (call 334-265-9931).
